Go for Goals is an exciting nine week program for 7 – 11 year old children to increase self confidence in a safe and fun environment.
Goal Setting and the Buddy System was written for groups of children around 11 to 14 years old and it takes advantage of the group dynamics created in a less structured environment, where children are gathered together on a regular basis for group interests with the aim of increasing self-confidence and realizing the value of goal setting.

My name is Dr Tembisa Makaba, and I am your mental health coach. I am a psychiatrist and a life coach. I have 7 years worth of experience in the area of mental health, three of which have been spent working as a senior specialist in a psychiatric hospital, where I founded a unit responsible for rehabilitating people who suffer from mental illness as well as substance abuse. I trained as a life coach under Colleen-Joy Page, who is a well known and internationally acclaimed life coach, motivational speaker and author.
My passion is helping others, especially those with mental health challenges to reach their potential. I believe that we come to this earth for a purpose. As children we know that we can be whatever we want to be. Unfortunately, various things that we go through in our childhood, and later in our adulthood lead us to forget that we are here for a purpose and that it is within our power to reach our potential.
One of the factors that lead us to lose belief in ourselves is mental illness. Mental health challenges like depression and anxiety, lead us to lose our zest for life, our innate knowledge that we are special and there is no other exactly like us in the universe, and we were placed here for a purpose.
My work is to help people remember that they have the power to be who they desire to be. I do this by supporting them, firstly, by addressing the biological cause of their illness, and then beyond this, by coaching them to be able to reclaim their power through finding, and implementing powerful solutions to their obstacles, resetting goals and supporting them in achieving these goals.

Your financial situation says more about you than your money. It is often an accurate illustration of your own level of self worth and also gives an indication of your willingness to invest in yourself as a person. If you want to lead a fulfilling life, taking charge of your finances is crucial. My workshops will empower each individual to identify areas that they would like to work on and give them the tools to make a HUGE difference in their lives. The method encompasses thinking, feeling and DOING. The ultimate goal is to be able to access the power, harness it and turn it into reality. The material is not more “head space” but is down to earth, practical, and achievement orientated. What is the point of setting goals, if you never get there?
